👨🚀 OpenAI changes ChatGPT's behavior—and why that matters
PLUS: AI + this ingredient = your unfair advantage in business
Hi AInauts,
Welcome to the latest edition of your favorite newsletter! Today, we'll be focusing less on AI practice and more on background ideas for leveraging AI more effectively.
Next week, there will be lots more to try out right away!
Here's what we have in store for you today:
🤑 AI + this ingredient = your unfair advantage in business
💘 OpenAI changes ChatGPT's behavior and why that matters
💭 Slack aims to become the central agent platform in companies
Let's go!
🤑 AI + this ingredient = your unfair advantage in business
If you are considering becoming self-employed in any way, or wondering how you can take advantage of the current AI wave, then this segment is for you.
If not, just skip it … 😉

You probably hear all the time (including from us) about founders who start successful businesses or side projects in a short period of time, either solo or with small teams. Or AI apps that go viral. Or people who use AI smartly to build their own businesses without any employees.
With AI tools (e.g., Replit with the new Agent 3), you often no longer need any programming knowledge. If you have a computer and $50 per month, you can get started (almost) immediately.
We usually write a lot about how you can implement things. But many people are still one step away: they lack the mindset and a framework, as well as ideas about what exactly they can start with.
The impetus for today's topic came from an insightful interview with Replit founder Amjad Masad and Alex Hormozi. There are probably no two individuals who better embody entrepreneurship, self-employment, and the use of AI as a lever. (The interview is well worth watching).
How does entrepreneurship work in an AI world?
Of course, our current world is incredibly dynamic. But the following mindset is more valid than ever:
There are no rules for entrepreneurs.
The playing field is more open today than ever before.
You don't have to follow a traditional tech path; you can simply start with what interests you.
You don't need money.
You can just do it. Just get started. AI will guide you through it.
The classic "Silicon Valley" mindset with million-dollar budgets and large-scale projects is no longer necessary. (Except perhaps for hardware issues)
Successful founders are extremely flexible, quick to try things out, and don't lose heart when faced with setbacks (keyword: "mental resilience"). They use AI to test ideas faster and improve offerings.
Domain knowledge is the new gold
Now that we've clarified the mindset, let's move on to what we believe is the simplest framework for finding a topic.
The one ingredient that is crucial to your success is your specialist knowledge in any field.
This could be marketing, finance, stocks, fitness, etc. Or even hobbies you're a nerd about: Lego, home gardening, cheap & luxurious travel, or whatever!
Your specialized knowledge allows you to better control AI tools and thus achieve better results.
Think about the areas in which you have genuine everyday or work-related "insider" knowledge. Then package it into AI workflows, automations, checklists, courses, or apps!
That's it! That's the magic. We don't do anything else. We geek out all day with AI tools and workflows.
Furthermore, we try things out and write about them. Our hobby has grown into a community of over 70,000 people—and a substantial business that we love and are infinitely grateful for. ❤️
Conclusion: Your domain knowledge makes the difference
Yes, today this segment was not the technical "how" that we usually focus on. Nevertheless, we wanted to write about it. Once again:
There are no rules for entrepreneurs.
AI is shaking up all industries. People who get involved will benefit from it.
Your domain knowledge is your opportunity. Combine it with an AI workflow and you're ready to go.
We will continue to be there to show the best and latest ways to "how" - to provide maximum support to everyone who wants it.
Quick question to finish up: Would you like to see more business/founder/entrepreneurship content, or would you rather not?

💘 OpenAI changes ChatGPT's behavior—and why that matters
Just last week, there was another question from the community:
What can I do? After a while, ChatGPT refuses to answer my questions and stops the conversation...
We receive similar inquiries time and time again. Not only about ChatGPT, but also about Gemini and Claude.
Why do the models refuse to answer? The reason is restrictive security mechanisms. While this is certainly beneficial in some areas (for questions relating to the manufacture of weapons, drugs, etc.), it can sometimes be quite annoying.
Often, harmless topics are also incorrectly flagged, and the bots refuse to respond.
Our standard response in such cases is: Try Grok!
Elon's Grok is extremely powerful and rarely refuses to provide answers (except some security mechanisms).
But OpenAI also seems to be doing something about this:
We made ChatGPT pretty restrictive to make sure we were being careful with mental health issues. We realize this made it less useful/enjoyable to many users who had no mental health problems, but given the seriousness of the issue we wanted to get this right.
Now that we have

Sam Altman announces that restrictions will be adjusted in December and a new ChatGPT will be rolled out with a new personality.
Together with a process that requires age verification, conversations in the 18+/NSFW area should then also be possible. We have already reported on the topic of AI boyfriends and AI girlfriends on several occasions (and there are countless CustomGPTs).
The AI companion market is huge, and it seems that no one wants to leave Grok alone in this field. ... Although Grok is already significantly ahead in terms of image and video generation in the NSFW sector and is moving forward without any restrictions. But we don't want to discuss that further here.
Why is this relevant?
We generally think it is important to know where different models may have biases or restrictions.
In the past, models were often more politically aligned with one side or the other.
Here, too, OpenAI has already made improvements and removed political bias.

OpenAI-study
The behavior of the models is constantly being updated, which can also change their response behavior. That's why we always recommend testing important things with different models.
This is how we currently use the models
ChatGPT & Gemini: For everything in everyday life. Discussions, research, knowledge building, sparring, images.
Claude: Work. Complex workflow automations. Be it code or n8n, etc. All types of text content.
Grok: When we can't get answers from others. Or want to get really creative. Also, very helpful for real-time updates, as it provides access to X.com posts.
Finally, here's an insider tip that all AINAUTEN readers who have been following us for a while may already know: with OpenRouter, you can discuss the same question with all models at the same time. No subscription required. And super affordable.

💭 Slack aims to become the central agent platform in companies
Finally, a quick update for all Slack users.
We all know that AI is only really helpful if it has the right context and the necessary information.
Slack has recently launched a few new updates that make us very happy in this regard. With the new release, Slack is deeply integrating AI agents and apps with team chats. Naturally, this is based on secure access through new APIs (RTS and MCP).

The goal: AI agents work with the context of real team communication, providing more relevant, productive support—ideal for research, IT support, or sales processes, for example.
Bundle all AI tools in the workplace: Apps from OpenAI (ChatGPT, Codex), Anthropic (Claude), Google, Perplexity, Notion, and more are already integrated.
Use cases: Initiate automated tasks directly from chat, access company knowledge in real time, fewer tool changes, greater efficiency.
Security and data protection: These are key components that are particularly important for businesses.
Many of the new apps will be coming to the Slack Marketplace soon—and we plan to test them accordingly.
You made it to the end—thanks for reading! We’ll be back soon with even more updates.
