🦾 BIG TECH AI cracker: NVIDIA & Co.
The stock markets are running at full speed, driven by the "Magnificent Seven". There was a lot of movement among the big players in the AI sector this week, so here is a brief overview with the most important updates.

NVIDIA with new superchip
At the developer conference GTC, NVIDIA announced a range of new tools to support huge AI models.

This also includes a new chip architecture (Blackwell), faster networks, enhanced simulation capabilities (Omniverse Cloud APIs) and a basic model for robotics (GR00T).
Here is an insight into the Omniverse technology - visually impressive, but above all super exciting for everything in the field of 3D and simulations.
The Blackwell chips are also impressive. They are said to consume 25 times less energy than an H100 chip, for example, with more than double the performance.
GPT-4 comprises around 1.8 trillion parameters. Only 2000 of the Blackwell chips could train such a model in 90 days. 🤯
For us, NVIDIA and chip development is an incredible example of exponential growth and how emerging problems (e.g. high energy consumption, but also climate, etc.) can be solved with better technology.
Finally, here are the keynote highlights in quick succession - have you seen the Robot Armada?!
Microsoft brings Inflection founder and technology on board
The Microsoft octopus has also struck again!
Perhaps the personal chatbot Pi tells you something, we've already reported on it briefly a few times - unlike other chatbots that position themselves as tools, will Pi simply wanted to be your emotional support buddy.
The company behind it, Inflection, raised over a billion dollars in funding a few months ago and built a really cool chatbot with Pi.
Now the founding team around Mustafa Suleyman (including some employees) is moving to Microsoft. Here is the well-written statement by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella (he had already tried to poach Sam Altman after his dismissal from OpenAI).

It's crazy how strongly Microsoft is positioning itself in terms of AI and how aggressively they are acting. This article sums it up well!
And if you take a closer look behind the scenes, it doesn't look quite so pretty ...
Finally, the really good book by Mustafa Suleyman - very worth reading for those interested in AI! We've featured it before, here's our Summary as Google Doc or PDF.
Will Apple and Google soon join forces?
That leaves two heavyweights: Google is sliding from one shitstorm to the next. Apple, on the other hand, has been pretty quiet so far.
Recently, however, Apple has also published a paper on a Multimodal AI MM1.The paper itself is beyond us, but the bottom line is that the model is said to be particularly efficient.
Compared to the other models from OpenAI and the like, however, it doesn't look particularly spectacular.
Is that why Apple and Google want to explore a collaboration? Just imagine: maybe Google Gemini will soon be running on iPhones & Co!
We're in for a surprise, but there's hope that one way or another, a more useful Siri and other upgrades will finally be available.
The deal would be good for both companies, and an alliance could also make sense as a counterweight to Microsoft.
The appointment of Google veteran Liz Reid, who was previously responsible for AI projects and has now been appointed the new Head of Search, also shows that there is a lot going on at Google. And perhaps there will soon also be a change of leadership at the top at Google ...
As usual: It remains exciting!
P.S.: The fact that Elon made his Grok model open source a few days ago (see Github) is nice - but doesn't really change much about the "big picture".
This week, @xai will open source Grok

✍️ Perfect Mega Prompt templates with this tool (Claude 3)
So, now we come to the practical part of today's newsletter. Since Anthropics Claude 3 arrived, we've been playing around with it an incredible amount - and we're thrilled!
So today we want to take a look at a recipe from the Anthropic Cookbook that you can use to easily turn your thoughts and tasks into MEGA prompts.

Even better: you can generate extremely good prompt templates that you can use again and again. Ideal for delegating work in a team, etc.
These prompts will give you much better results than the simple initial ideas - whether you use it with Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or another chatbot you trust.
Ok, now you have to overcome a few mental hurdles first: It seems a bit technical, but it's really easy - promise, just try it!

Let's get started:
Step 1: Copy Google Colab Notebook
Click on this Google Colab link and create a copy of the notebook.

Step 2: Get & insert API key
Get an Anthropic API key. To do this, simply create a free account here and then generate a new API key.

Note: Using the tool costs you a few cents, but you get 5 dollar credits from Claude. So you can try it out for free.
You can then enter your API key here:

Step 3: Enter request & variables
Now scroll down to "Quickstart" and enter your request in TASK. You can also enter variables, i.e. additional information.

Step 4: Start prompt generation
After you have filled in everything, you can either start all the cells individually and see exactly what happens.
For all those who want to be lazy and efficient (like us): Just click on "Run all".

Step 5: View result
You will then find the result in cell 9 and can also test it again below.
Here, for example, is our test:
That was our simple request / task: "Write affiliate advertorials that get readers to buy".
And this was our finished prompt template (we shortened a few things because the prompt was so long):
Prompt:
<produkt>
{$PRODUKT}
</produkt>
Mache dich damit vertraut.
<zielgruppe>
{$ZIELGRUPPE}
</zielgruppe>
<vorteile>
{$VORTEILE}
</vorteile>
Problem:
"Viele (Zielgruppe) kämpfen täglich mit (Problem). Das ist frustrierend, kostet Zeit und Nerven.
Bisher gab es keine zufriedenstellende Lösung..."
Lösung:
"Hier kommt (Produkt) ins Spiel! Dieses geniale Produkt wurde speziell für (gekürzt)
Vorteile:
"Mit (Produkt) kannst du endlich (Vorteil 1). Außerdem (Vorteil 2). Und das Beste: (Vorteil 3)!
Zahlreiche zufriedene Kunden bestätigen..."
Call-to-Action:
"Worauf wartest du noch? Sichere dir jetzt (Produkt) zum unschlagbaren (gekürzt)
Fasse am Ende nochmal (gekürzt)
Gehe nun ans Werk und schreibe ein packendes Advertorial im vorgegebenen Format:
<advertorial>
(Dein Advertorial)
</advertorial>
It's amazing, isn't it? As you can see, Claude has also defined possible variables. He goes into incredible detail.
Now you have a perfect template that you can use again and again.
⚠️ Deepfake scam video streams hijack YouTube & Co.
Fraudsters have been taking advantage of gullible people for as long as the internet has existed. With AI, however, such fraudulent offers have taken on a completely new quality.
We have already talked about deepfakes by Mr. Beast and Co. or election manipulation.

We noticed this scam again yesterday: Fake YouTube lifestreams that exploit the current hype around Bitcoin!
Such streams have been around for years, but thanks to AI voices and lip-syncing, they are now also incredibly authentic.
The victim this time was Michael Saylor from Microstrategy. He is one of the biggest Bitcoin influencers and bulls.

In the YouTube livestream, the real Michael Saylor is shown in various interviews - however, AI was used to put words into his mouth that he never said ...
The call-to-action: Viewers are supposed to scan a QR code, send money there, and then supposedly receive double the amount back in Bitcoin ...
Which is particularly crazy:
The livestream has been live on YouTube for days!
On average, 4-6 thousand people watch (provided they are real viewers and not fakes).
Fun Fact: When we searched for various examples of such YouTube streams on X, we were shown another scam ad in a thread:

So, always be careful out there - and take the opportunity to raise the issue with your parents and the less digitally savvy people around you. Supposed to give bonus karma points that you can exchange for Bitcoin ...
So, we're through. As always, please give us your feedback. And thank you for joining us.
