PLUS: AI writes a new Wikipedia
Hello AInauts,
Welcome to the latest edition of your favorite newsletter!
Today's edition is another colorful mix. From the battle for knowledge on the internet to job cuts and a new marketing tool to try out, it's all here.
Here's what we have in store for you today:
🐳 AI writes a new Wikipedia
🔥 Pomelli: New AI marketing tool from Google
🎯 The job paradox: What to do when my job is at risk
Let's go!
🐳 AI writes a new Wikipedia
What was it like before ChatGPT & Co.? When we wanted to know something about a specific topic?
Exactly, at some point we ended up on Wikipedia. Especially if your school/college days are not so long ago, you will be extremely grateful for Wikipedia.
This week, the topic came up twice, which is why we would like to write briefly about it here.
First, the annual donation appeal from the founder of Wikipedia arrived in our inbox.

The second time was even more exciting. There is a new 'Wikipedia'! 100% written by AI.
Grokipedia.com version 0.1 is now live.
Version 1.0 will be 10X better, but even at 0.1 it’s better than Wikipedia imo.

A clear statement from Elon... But what exactly is Grokipedia? Let's ask Wikipedia. … 😉

You can probably imagine that this is causing massive waves in all directions. We don't want to get involved in the political debate or interfere in the AEO/ SEO debate. Even if Wikipedia has ideological biases, the current version of Grokipedia will almost certainly have them too...
We've been spending a lot of time on Grokipedia since yesterday, and we especially like it because of the technical aspects.
Here are the main differences between Wikipedia and Grokipedia:
Criterion | Wikipedia | Grokipedia |
|---|---|---|
Content creation | 100% written and edited by humans | AI-generated designs + human oversight |
Topicality | Often days/weeks until update | Real-time updates through Grok models |
Source verification | Manual, often subjective | Automatic trust rating (AI + community) |
Advertising & Tracking | No advertising, but appeals for donations | Completely ad-free, no tracking |
Languages | Over 300 languages | Currently, 12, but AI translation in real time |
Access to AI | No direct integration | "Ask Grok" button in every article |
Community role | Anyone can edit | Anyone can suggest, evaluate, improve |
Scalability | Limited by volunteers | AI scales content explosively |
Conclusion: Why is this relevant?
We are in a new world. We are bombarded with an unlimited amount of content. It is becoming increasingly difficult to determine whether something is really 'true'.
AI takes all of this to a new level. The only thing we can do is try to counter it with technology.
Grokipedia is an attempt at this. Regardless of the various debates surrounding it, we find it incredibly exciting how Grokipedia allows users to interact with knowledge.
Learning new things and having them explained to you. Getting deeply involved. It's fun to dive deeper and understand.
Web searches in chatbots such as ChatGPT & Co., on the other hand, often result in the AI merely parroting a few articles. Grokipedia uses many more sources and ranks them according to a trust score.
But we're talking about Pliny here. It can probably only really work if everything, including the models underneath, is open source.
Grokipedia is a REALLY cool concept, but it can only succeed in its stated mission if the underlying model is open source, not just the codebase. That way, the public can track changes, run independent audits, and identify potential biases (which every model has).
If the truth

Wikipedia has democratized knowledge. Grokipedia wants to make it intelligent.
We'll see if it works and look forward to hearing about your experiences with it!
🔥 Pomelli: New AI marketing tool from Google
We love it when Google releases new Lab experiments. One of the most popular AI tools, NotebookLM, started out exactly like this.
Now there's another new experiment from Google that's getting our pulses racing. And if you're involved in marketing, it might get yours racing too.
The latest tool experiment is called Pomelli and promises nothing less than to create complete social media campaigns for us.
Of course, on Brand.

Introducing Pomelli, an experimental AI marketing tool designed to help you easily generate scalable, on-brand content to connect with your audience, faster.
Just enter your website, and Pomelli will understand your unique business identity to build

The workflow is extremely simple:
You enter your URL
The tool scans everything and creates a brand DNA.
You will receive suggestions for campaigns and creatives.
You can edit and finalize them directly.
Done! Ready-to-publish social media assets in just a few minutes.

Step by step: How it works
You enter your URL. Based on this, a brand DNA profile is created.

You can then adjust this as you wish.
As you can see, colors are selected, taglines defined, brand values created, and even our font has been recognized.
Of course, we are not an ideal case for the newsletter when it comes to images, because we include screenshots and GIFs.
If you're happy, just click and you'll get some suggestions for creatives:

In the first step, everything is in English, of course. But you can force it to be in German.
And what can we say? The first throw after almost exactly 3 minutes was really EXTREMELY STRONG! Except for the Nike shoe creative...
And as mentioned: You can edit each individual creative afterward.

Here's how you can try it out
As always with new Google Labs tests, these are not initially available in Europe. Therefore, a VPN with an American IP address is necessary.
The rest is pretty self-explanatory—and free of charge to start with. We're very impressed!
🎯 The job paradox: What should I do if my job is at risk?
Finally, a topic that is currently dominating the media and our email inboxes.
Amazon axes 30,000 white collar jobs in the US! In Germany, more than 114,000 jobs have been lost in industry since mid-2024 alone. The automotive industry? A decline of 6% in jobs within just one year. And according to the ifo Institute, more than one-third of industrial companies expect further job cuts in the next five years. The situation is not much better in Switzerland either …
Not yet, or hardly at all, because of AI, but...
Every day we receive new messages like this.
But here's the paradox:
At the same time, there are over 1 million job vacancies in Germany.
What does this tell us? It's not always gloomy. That's actually our core message here.
There are always opportunities, even if AI will take away our jobs in the future. The most important skill for us is therefore:
Learning to learn.
To continually acquire new skills in a dynamic world.
What if it happens to you?
Unfortunately, we are receiving an increasing number of messages in our inbox from people who are directly affected—which is why we are revisiting this topic.
One possible way to land one of the more than 1,000,000 jobs currently available is to get up to speed on AI. We are therefore currently revising all of our training courses. Everything should be ready in four weeks at the latest.
Or better yet: make sure you don't get into a situation where you lose your job in the first place.
So, invest in your AI skills, and there won't be any reason to be afraid of the future!
You made it to the end—thanks for reading! We’ll be back soon with even more updates.
