๐Ÿค– The future of AI agents & AI mindset

Every week we decide which rabbit hole we want to dig ourselves into. This week, the topic of AI agents was once again at the forefront.

it is a topic that doesnโ€™t disappoint. Anthropic showed recently how AI can operate its own computer. The dream of autonomous AI helpers that do things for us and make decisions is becoming a reality.

It all started this week with a presentation on AI agents that we had on our watchlist for a while (highly recommended):

Dharmesh Shah is the co-founder of HubSpot and one of the main reasons why we are such HubSpot fanboys, besides the tool itself.

Despite having built a company currently valued at almost 38 billion USD, he spends a lot of time playing with new technologies and implementing cool projects with them.

He has secretly become an innovation driver for HubSpot itself.

Dharmesh plays around with some AI tools at night, and a few months later the technologies are live and ready to use in HubSpot. This is what happened with ChatSpot.ai, which has now mutated into the Breeze CoPilot within HubSpot.

Some time ago, Dharmesh also launched agent.ai - fully focused on AI agents! And the first use cases can already be found in HubSpot Breeze AI:

Whether you need help with social media posts, lead research or customer service, with HubSpot Breeze, the AI helpers are ready to go.

What distinguishes agents from ChatGPT & Co.

Why are agents such a hype?

Let's take the idea of building a website as an example and imagine that you want to create a landing page for your marketing agency using AI.

With a language model like ChatGPT, it usually goes like this:

  • You have ChatGPT create a possible structure for you

  • You have the content created for you

  • You create the various images with an AI image generator

  • You use ChatGPT to create the HTML

  • You get a web server up and running, and do the whole tech setup

  • You upload the images and insert them manually into the HTML

As you can see, quite some steps and tech involved.

And now letโ€™s do the whole thing with the HubSpot content agent:

You choose what kind of content you want to create.

You enter a few details about your website and let it run.

Two minutes later, you will receive a website with images, text, graphics and a suitable structure that you can publish immediately.

Of course, this is not the final version, and you will still want to make a few adjustments.

But nevertheless, it is a great help and clearly demonstrates how powerful agents already are. More to come!

โ€ฆ and what about the AI mindset?

Dharmesh is a role model for us, especially when it comes to mindset. He is extremely curious, constantly experimenting and testing out new technologies.

And he does all this despite the fact that, as a billionaire, he could simply say: "I'm no longer interested in any of this, someone else can do it for me." Instead, he takes a positive view of AI and tries to find out how new technologies can add value today.

Of course, AI could also drift in the wrong direction and harbor dangers. The question is what we can do about it...

Once thing we can definitely do is to engage with it now - to be curious, to experiment, and to find out how AI can help us personally.

But if you've read this far in the newsletter, then you're doing everything right anyway ๐Ÿ˜‰.

๐Ÿค” Is this Google's new AI search?

After Perplexity and SearchGPT, everyone is really just waiting for Google's new AI search experience.

Testing has been going on for months. And of course, Google has the most to lose if AI delivers all the answers straight away and makes clicking through to a website no longer necessary.

All the more exciting is a new experimental tool from Google that has just popped up: LEARN ABOUT

Google's Learn About is an interactive way to learn and understand new things. You can ask your questions and the tool puts together clear information and explanations, with pictures, links and videos.

Beware of the risks - itโ€™s addictive!

The really impressive thing is the follow-up suggestions. And itโ€™s quite addictive!

In other words: What could your next questions be? Do you want a simpler explanation, or do you want to go deeper into a topic?

The first time we tried it out, we easily spent two hours learning more about black holes.

And Learn About also seems to have access to current data, as you can see in this SpaceX example.

The whole Learn About experience is really great. Is it perhaps even a test of a Google 2.0, disguised as a learning tool? Be sure to give it a try.

Important tips & hacks to use Learn About

If you want to try it out, here are a few tips:

  • As of today, the tool is not yet available everywhere - a VPN will help you here.

  • You can bypass the "Join Waitlist" query if you call up the tool with a browser in which you are already logged into a Google account.

  • Google Business accounts have always caused errors for us, private accounts have worked without any problems.

  • The tool currently refuses to speak other languages than English.

๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŽจ AI robot image sells for over 1 million

Finally, a short ๐Ÿคฏ.

The picture above depicts Alain Turing, mathematician and researcher.

It was painted by an AI robot called Ai-Da and has just been auctioned off through Sothebys for over $1 million USD.

Sure, in the age of NFTs, that might not be so crazy, especially since it's a real painting and the robot actually paints the pictures itself.

And the proceeds from the sale also go directly to the robot. He/she is already at arm number 3 ๐Ÿ˜‰ Androids apparently also have joint problemsโ€ฆ

We made it! But no need to be sad. The AInauts will be back soon, with new stuff for you.
