PLUS: Why AI is often not a game changer
Hi AInauts,
Welcome back to your favorite newsletter!
We were planning to cover Apple’s big AI push today. But honestly? It wasn’t all that exciting—except for the real-time translation on AirPods, which is actually pretty awesome.
Here’s what you’ll find today:

🐳 Why AI is often not yet a game changer
We have been working with HubSpot as a partner for almost two years now. The annual in-house INBOUND conference, which addresses the biggest challenges and opportunities for marketing teams in companies every year, has just come to an end.
It's always great for us because there's a lot of good content about marketing and AI.
This year, of course, the big topic was the traffic crisis. Companies are losing tons of site visitors thanks to ChatGPT and friends—we’ve written about this before.
To counteract this, HubSpot has introduced the new concept of loop marketing, for example. Along with over 200 other approaches, features, and more.

We will write about this in detail later. Today, we want to address another topic from the conference because it concerns a personal problem that we are currently trying to solve. At the same time, we know that many others feel exactly the same way we do.
All these AI tools and AI agents are extremely cool in theory. For marketing teams and companies, it's now theoretically no longer a problem:
Automatically send completely personalized customer emails
Have entire marketing campaigns designed
Create texts, images, videos, and then publish them on multiple channels
Generate podcasts
Automatically respond to every support ticket (or at least prepare the response)
Receive strategic support for corporate and product strategy
And yes, we use AI in each of these areas. But it is often not quite as good as we would like it to be, or does not yet meet our requirements.
The main problem we have identified for ourselves: There is no central data hub that brings together all the information about us, our subscribers, our customers, our newsletter, our products, our campaigns, data, figures, facts, branding, etc.
As a result, the various AI tools do not have the complete context of all information to deliver truly perfect results.
We have a wide variety of data stored in different systems.
That's precisely why we find the topic of loop marketing exciting, but another spotlight by HubSpot is even more exciting, as it focuses on laying a solid foundation first:
This is precisely what our challenge from above is all about, with new features from HubSpot. Starting with a central data hub. A "single source of truth."
In this spotlight, HubSpot aims to demonstrate and prove how, thanks to the Single Source of Truth, they are able to offer AI features that understand the company. These features enable the rapid creation of marketing campaigns and the generation of better emails with higher ROI and less effort.
Regardless of whether we can implement everything with HubSpot, for example, we will take a look at the spotlight. We’re curious to see how this works for ourselves…
For AI to truly become a game changer, it needs the right information (context).
If you’re curious: You can find all details here for free.
🍌 5 cool ways & tips for editing images with Nano Banana (free)
Let's move on to the practical part of the newsletter.
Google's new image processing model, Gemini-2.5-Flash-Image, or colloquially known as Nano Banana, still dominates our free time.
Every day we discover new creative ideas for generating and editing images with it.
But today, here are five examples that we find very practical.
Be sure to try it out, it's free.
Firstly, we can only encourage you to play around with Nano-Banana. It's completely free. We usually use it in Google AI Studio, but you can also use it via the Gemini app.

1) Add, delete, or modify objects
Nano Banana is excellent at editing objects in existing images. You can change just about anything by simply describing it, and the rest of the image remains consistent.

Prompt-template:
Using the provided image of [subject], please [add/remove/modify] [element] to/from the scene. Ensure the change is [description of how the change should
integrate].
2) Combine multiple images
A great use case if you want to see how a new outfit would look on you or if you have a virtual product shoot coming up.

Prompt-template:
Create a new image by combining the elements from the provided images. Take the [element from image 1] and place it with/on the [element from image 2].
The final image should be a [description of the final scene].
3) Change camera angle & location
You can also easily change the angle or shooting point, or even zoom out completely.
The motif remains extremely well-preserved, and the model integrates it perfectly into the new environment.

Simple prompt for this:
zoom out and show the man in the whole outfit. full body.
4) Consistent characters for all possible use cases
Nano Banana is incredibly good at keeping characters consistent. This works for people, but also for graphics, etc.
This is ideal for generating icons or logos, and even more complex things such as comics, etc. are possible with it.

This makes it possible to quickly create entire picture books, comics, virtual influencers, etc. Game changer!

Create advertisements or UGC ads
Let’s wrap up with our favorite way to use it.
Use it to create advertisements, especially user-generated content (UGC) ads. Here is an example from us. We simply shared a screenshot of our website and requested a UGC ad as a result.
Without much prompt magic, this was the first result:

Simpler Prompt:
This is a screenshot of our newsletter. Can you turn it into a UGC ad that shows the screen on an iPhone, held by a person towards the camera — as if they were promoting the newsletter. Very authentic. UGC style, please.
Here’s where it gets really cool:
This has nothing to do with Nano Banana anymore. But you can then use Google Veo-3 to instantly create real UGC-style videos from these images. Including sound with script, etc.

Automation makes it particularly exciting
E-commerce companies and marketing agencies, in particular, often require numerous images and videos.
Everything shown here, including UGC ads and videos, can also be automated.
This allows you to produce tons of great images and videos with little effort.
Finally, a few quick tips
Prompts in English
Nano Banana understands other languages, and that usually works well. However, we have found that it works much better with English prompts. That's why the examples here are in English.
Only use Nano Banana for editing
If you want to create completely new images from scratch, there are better models than Nano Banana. But for editing, it's unbeatable.
Use prompt chaining
If you plan to perform more complex image editing, break it down into individual steps. This will make it easier for the model, as too much at once can lead to problems.
😅 This (tiny) country is benefiting most from the AI boom.
Let's conclude with a brief topic that made us smile.
While companies struggle with AI and providers are mostly still burning money, there are already a few winners of the AI boom.
Let's leave NVIDIA out of this for now.
There is another small Caribbean island with just under 16,000 inhabitants that is now enjoying enormous prosperity thanks to the AI boom and a decision made over 40 years ago.

We are talking about Anguilla.
The reason is the .ai domain extension that was assigned to the island.
Of course, just about everyone wants to have this exact domain extension and is willing to pay a lot of money for it.
For Anguilla, this meant just under $40 million in free money last year alone—roughly a quarter of the island's total budget. This year, it is expected to rise to just under $50 million in revenue.
This Reddit thread is definitely worth a click. There is already discussion here about which domain extensions to invest in next. 😉
You made it to the end—thanks for reading! We’ll be back soon with even more updates.
