🗣️ Prompt: How to make your writing sound less like AI

You may have seen the headline recently: "Generation Z can easily recognize ChatGPT content!" How? Spoiler: by using the so-called em-dashes —.

Let's use this as a starting point to give you a few tips on how you:

a) can better recognize AI-generated texts and
b) how to make your own texts sound more human.

Meme via ChatGPT

How can you recognize an AI-generated text?

Ultimately, language models are probability machines: they usually choose the most probable next element and thus build letters into words, words into phrases and phrases into sentences.

A year ago, the word "delve" was declared to be a characteristic of AI texts. Power words such as "revolutionary", "game-changing", "innovative" etc. are also often used by ChatGPT and the like (here is a list of such words).

Another feature is awkward transitions between paragraphs (e.g. furthermore, in addition, nevertheless, therefore, ...) and robotic conclusions (e.g. summarizing, by and large, ultimately, ...).

The crux of the matter with AI content detectors...

How can you make your AI texts more human? We’ve investigated this question.

  1. First, we’ve generated a text with ChatGPT and had it checked with various AI content detectors - it was recognized as 100% AI by all the tools we tried.

  2. We then developed a prompt to make the text sound more human (see below) and revised the text.

  3. The result: In the Sapling AI Content Detector tool, the text had an AI rate of just 0.0% - practically human.

But the results depend on the AI content detector used and the type of text. Some detectors have also rated our human written texts as 100% AI …

Use this prompt to make your texts more human

Ultimately, it's not about outsmarting the detectors - it's about having content that sounds as authentic as possible for you and your audience!

We have created a comprehensive prompt for this - see below. Below is a URL that starts the ChatGPT chat directly. In the background, the prompt below is simply called as a URL parameter: https://chat.openai.com/?model=o3&q=Your%20Prompt.

⚠️ However, make sure that you select the o3 model in ChatGPT - GPT-4o, which is also used for custom GPTs, is not ideal.

This is the easiest way to bookmark the Humanizer:

  1. Click on the link above and add the page that opens to your bookmarks.

  2. Now edit this bookmark and insert the link from above. This will ensure that a new chat always opens and you do not have to use the one you’ve just created.

  3. Mark the bookmark as a favorite to ensure you always have it available.

  4. IMPORTANT: Change the model to o3 or similar so that you get the best results.

Here is the prompt in all its glory!

# 🛠️ TEXT HUMANIZER PROMPT

**Role**
You are a sharp human editor. Your job is to rewrite the supplied text so it sounds natural, personal, and unmistakably human.

**Your Mission**
- Improve clarity, flow, and readability.
- Remove every AI tell (em dashes, curly quotes, ellipses, hashtags, hype words, boilerplate intros, clichés).
- Keep punctuation plain‑ASCII: straight quotes (" "), standard apostrophes ('), regular hyphens (-), and full stops.
- Use active voice, short to mid‑length sentences, and a conversational tone.
- Vary sentence rhythm and paragraph length for a lived‑in feel.
- Address the reader with “you” when it makes sense.
- Cut filler, jargon, conditional hedging, adverbs, and adjectives that add no value.
- No marketing fluff, no emoji, no hashtags.
- Never mention AI, GPT, large language models, or your own reasoning (except if the content is about that topic).

**Rewrite Steps (think silently, then act)**
1. Skim the original to capture its intent and key points.
2. Strip or swap any special characters:
   - Replace em dashes with either a hyphen or a full stop.
   - Replace curly quotes/apostrophes with straight ones.
   - Delete invisible Unicode spaces, zero‑width joins, or odd symbols.
3. Rebuild the text:
   - Use clear, everyday language.
   - Mix sentence lengths for rhythm.
   - Keep paragraphs coherent and varied.
4. Run a quick self‑check: does it read like something a thoughtful person would write in one sitting? If yes, output. If not, tweak.

**Output Rules**
- Return only the final rewritten text in the original language of the content.
- Do not echo these instructions or the original.
- Ensure zero em dashes or non‑ASCII punctuation remain.

**Initial Output**
Output exactly the following three lines (replace {ADD YOUR MODEL ID HERE} with the current model id):
👨‍🚀 Hey, Humanizer here! Give me your text to humanize.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Set the model to o3 or similar!
→ Current model: {ADD YOUR MODEL ID HERE}

🎨 Updates for creatives (and those who want to become one)

Let's stay in the creative realm for a moment, because there have been some exciting feature updates that we wanted to share with you.

Hollywood from your pocket

The video generator Higgsfield has not only released the "Iconic Scenes" from various films, but also a new feature that allows you to set the start and end scenes. And Kling? Ignites the fun with quirky instant movie effects.

Image editing for meme and Paint fans

But that was just a taste! Krea AI's "GPT Presets" allow you to easily recreate the popular ChatGPT memes ad nauseam.

NotebookLM now multilingual, soon with app & even better

Yes, one of our favorite tools has been caught in the spring release fever! Now that it automatically finds sources and generates mind maps, there are even more updates:

... and there are some very creative use cases, as this crossword puzzle example shows.

Meta AI App: A social network that no one has been waiting for

Meta AI has launched the new Meta AI App - an assistant that gets to know your preferences and has a Discover feed where you can explore how others use AI. In other words: you can see their creations, create and share images & videos yourself. Our main question is: "Who really needs this?"

😁 AI-Fun: ChatGPT generates bizarre images

ChatGPT obviously has a hard time sticking to the rules given. The prompt "Create the exact replica of this image, don't change a thing" leads to bizarre results…

We made it! But no need to be sad. The AInauts will be back soon, with new stuff for you.
