PLUS: This AI negotiates favorable hotel prices for you
Happy Thursday AInauts,
Welcome to the latest issue of your favorite AI newsletter.
Today, we have news for everyone who works with Microsoft or Slack. And two cool apps to try out!
Here's what he have in store for you:
π€ This new Microsoft Co-Pilot feature is great
π Slack (finally) launches AI features for 32 million users
π€ This app negotiates hotel prices for you (live on the phone)
π΅βπ« The craziest social media app in a long time
Let's go!
π€ This new Microsoft Co-Pilot feature is great
Let's start with corporate news. But this time it's so good that we want to write about it briefly.
Microsoft has introduced a new "wave" of Co-Pilot features.

In addition to a new Pages function, where you can work with Co-Pilot on a kind of canvas, the focus lies in a deeper integration into the Excel and PowerPoint apps.
You can see all the new features here. But thereβs one new feature that stands out for us.
The Narrative Builder in PowerPoint:
The Narrative Builder helps you to create really great presentations in just a few clicks.
It creates an agenda based on your task
You can add to it, change it or
Improve them with knowledge from your documents
Then the PowerPoint presentation is being created.
In your company template
With pre-approved images or AI-generated images
And you can revise the slides together with Co-Pilot
The results look much better than with apps like Gamma & Co.
Watch the two minutes in the video above. If this really works as shown in the future, it's pretty cool.
π Slack (finally) launches AI features for 32 million users
If you don't work with Microsoft and Teams, chances are that Slack is your tool of choice.
And there is finally some movement on the topic of AI, which should be exciting for the almost 32 million users.
We don't want to go into every detail here, you can have AI quickly summarize this article for you.
The most important features for us are two.
First, Slack has always been good for setting up smaller automations with Slackbot and connecting thousands of apps to Slack.
The new AI Workflow Builder makes building these little helpers much easier. You simply describe what you want, and Slack AI builds the workflow for you.

But the most valuable feature for us is are the Huddle Notes.
Huddles, Slack's meeting function, can now finally be recorded, transcribed and summarized - thanks to AI.
All participants have access and can work in these notes and add tasks etc.

Why do we think it's relevant?
We always like it when you don't need 1000 different tools. For many (including us), Slack is already the work communication platform.
Now with chats, meetings, meeting notes etc. all in one place, everything becomes more efficient.
Slack AI is available to all paid users for an additional 10 dollars per user and month.

π€This app negotiates hotel prices for you (live on the phone)
After all the big tech news, weβve found a cool app and another exciting story on the subject: "How almost anyone can build and market cool apps - thanks to AI!"
Introducing: The AI Haggler

The AI Haggler calls hotels for you and asks for a discount - in over 30 languages!

Pretty cool, isn't it? Most people often don't even dare to ask for a discount. And if you want to call them yourself, it seems like wasted time. But now, AI does it all for you!
Check out this live negotiation on the website:

This is an exciting use case, that will surely find many paying customers. But what we find particularly exciting is how the app came about.
It was built with an extremely simple tech stack by an indie hacker over a few weekends. With virtually 0 programming experience.
Built an AI phone agent that calls hotels and gets better prices (and it actually works lol)
Prior coding experience: almost 0

Linas simply connected the Bland AI API to a small web interface and used Claude, GPT-4o to generate the code. In the X thread above, you can find some examples from him.
Of course, it takes a bit lot of time and back and forth, especially if you have no never seen a piece of code from the inside.
But thanks to Replit AI, Cursor.com and the language models, almost anyone can build really exciting apps.
We love stories like this. You should try out the app here.
While we're on the subject of apps, let's finish with a pretty crazy AI app that's going viral right now.

Haven't you been dreaming of having millions of followers on social media for a long time?
The Social AI app makes this dream come true! It's your private social media network that's all about you.
Millions of AI followers are there for you. You can interact with them, chat, etc. They comment on your posts, and you can even decide which types of followers you want to have.
Just to be clear: There are no real people on Social AI. Only you, and all your AI-generated followers.

Social AI tries to pack all the emotions that social media triggers into a private and secure place. It's pretty crazy, but the app is taking off and let's see where it goes.
Maybe you'll feel like checking it out and getting a dopamine boost?
We made it! But no need to be sad. The AInauts will be back soon, with new food for thought.
