π¨βπ The most important AI updates at a glance
AIHOY and happy weekend, dear AInauts!
Maybe you didn't catch all the exciting news, tools and hacks about AI last week, or maybe you've just joined us. No need to worry!
We have summarized our highlights of the past week for you:
Finally, there is the most important quick news for you - so you can keep an eye on all relevant developments with just one click! Ready? Let's go!
We first "produced" the music with Suno 4.5, trying out different genres. An astronaut generated by ChatGPT was used for the visual implementation, which was then fed into Hedra together with the song. The Character-3 model then lip-synced and danced to bring the astronaut to life. Total cost: $20. Fun factor: Priceless!
A huge leak reveals Claude's system prompt with over 24,000 tokens! The majority (80%) describe the use of external tools. The "personality matrix", which teaches Claude to be authentic and a strong leader, is particularly exciting. No boring poems, clear recommendations and structured thinking are a must! The hard-coded facts such as Trump's presidency in 2025 and curious rules for February 29 are also interesting. The leak shows why Claude often seems more human - there's a real system behind it!
A new mini-GPT called "Mom, I have some questions..." offers a special alternative to traditional Mother's Day gifts. Based on 25 profound questions from the New York Times, the AI bot enables real, meaningful conversations instead of superficial gestures. Just send it to mom and see what comes back!
OpenAI boss Sam Altman reveals: Polite phrases in ChatGPT cost millions - and are worth every penny! Around two thirds of users already speak to AI systems in a friendly manner. Tests confirm this: Polite requests lead to better results. Just like with human employees, respectful interaction pays off. Not only does the quality of response increase - we also train positive communication patterns and shape a respectful digital future. So: be polite to your AI buddy!
πͺπΊ Good news from Europe?
The Rise of AI conference shows that Europe's AI scene is struggling with subdued expectations. Instead of developing its own flagship models, the opportunity lies in the smart integration of AI into existing industries.
The French start-up Mistral demonstrates how it's done: with their new Medium 3 model, they deliver state-of-the-art performance at a fraction of the cost - and prove that with the right mix of talent, capital and political support, world-class AI made in Europe is possible.
AI is revolutionizing the healthcare sector with specialized language models such as BioMistral. OpenAI's HealthBench sets new standards with 5,000 simulated doctor-patient conversations, with GPT-4.1 nano performing surprisingly well. Google's AlphaFold dramatically accelerates protein research. The AI Scientist project, in which AI systems conduct scientific research independently - from hypothesis to paper - is particularly exciting. Germany is benefiting from this thanks to its strong players in the healthcare sector, even if the technology should still be treated with caution.
Europe may be on the downward curve of the AI hype cycle, but that's perfectly fine! We are learning that AI transformation is challenging and does not work miracles immediately. But Europe has all the prerequisites for AI success: excellent research, brilliant talent and a strong industrial base. Regulation is moving in the right direction. Now it's time to keep at it, keep building and keep learning. We all have the chance to drive AI forward - even without a technological background!
