🤩 Google Updates: Gemini in Chrome, Gems for everybody, Career Dreamer & Nano Banana
It seems that Google is working behind the scenes on the new Gemini 3 model to compete with the new Grok 4. Until then, however, there are a few cool updates from the Google universe.
Chrome finally gets a Gemini sidebar with agents
The Chrome browser is now equipped with the Gemini Assistant (currently only available in the US). The new features help you summarize pages, compare offers, answer questions, etc.
Nothing spectacular, considering that Microsoft Edge added the Copilot as a side panel months ago and that there are now browsers with integrated agents …

Could the late introduction have anything to do with the decision in the antitrust lawsuit in the US? The government had demanded a split from Chrome—and Perplexity, OpenAI, etc. had already positioned themselves like vultures. But it didn't come to that: Google only has to share its search data with competitors and is no longer allowed to conclude exclusive search engine deals.
But one thing is clear: with its massive browser market share, Google is once again setting a new benchmark with the Chrome integration of Gemini and strengthening its own ecosystem. This is intended to compete with rival AIs such as Perplexity's Comet Browser (our ❤️ favorite, which goes much further and directly performs tasks for you) or future OpenAI browsers are slowed down by sheer market dominance. We'll keep an eye on it …
AI meets career: How Google's Career Dreamer shows you new paths
While we celebrate the new AI features, the impact on the economy is becoming increasingly clear... Many are being challenged to remain open to change and to break new ground.
Those who actively embrace AI-driven change will recognize the opportunities and be able to take advantage of them. One tool that helps with this comes from Google Labs and has the almost poetic name "Google Career Dreamer."
You enter a few key details such as your education, skills, and favorite jobs—and you get a concise "Career Identity" profile.
Behind this is, of course, Google Gemini plus fresh labor market data. It shows you industries and jobs you would never have thought of and correctly classifies your soft skills. You can find new paths that suit you—and then generate career statements for your LinkedIn, CV, and next salary negotiation.
Google also offers you the opportunity to complete relevant training courses and obtain Google certificates, e.g. in the areas of AI, marketing, and data analytics.
Google Gemini Gems, the equivalent of ChatGPT's Custom GPTs, can now be shared. This means you can enter your specific prompts into a Gem and then share it with your team or the public.
This can be helpful, for example, if you want to ensure a certain type of writing or image style in marketing or communications. Simply create your desired gems and share them with your team.
By popular demand: Your custom Gems are now shareable
Starting today, you can share the Gems you create with friends, family, and colleagues. Just open your Gem manager on the web and click “Share” next to any Gem you’ve created.

Google already provides some rudimentary gems that you can copy and customize. But to be honest, these are not particularly sophisticated and only of limited use …

But okay, then you just have to get a little creative yourself. It helps that you can directly incorporate various Google services using the @ sign when creating your post, and you can also upload knowledge files.

For example, we created a gem that allows us to search the newsletters in our Gmail inbox for tips and tricks.
Or here, for example, is a celebrity selfie generator (upload your own picture with the prompt "Selfie with person X"). ... it's quite amazing what you can do with it …

P.S. Do you remember the Storybook Gem? It allows you to create personalized, illustrated stories on any topic with narration.
Simply describe the story you want, add files and photos as you like, and Gemini will create a 10-page picture book for you.
If you haven't seen it yet, try it out here.

Google's Nano Banana conquers the App Store...
Let's stay with Google for a moment. Gemini is currently promoting its Nano-Banana filter. Test image ideas, vary styles, generate profile pictures. Over the past seven days, the app has overtaken ChatGPT as the #1 app in the store, attracting 13 million new users in just four days!
That's why here's a cool app that lets you generate creative portraits, time travel images, new looks, or professional profile pictures in different styles.

And finally, one last prompt to try out:
Making holograms with Gemini 2.5 (Nano Banana) + webcam. Prompt: "Turn the object I am holding into a 3d transparent line art hologram" @GeminiApp 🍌

💬 ChatGPT, Perplexity, Meta AI & Copilot: Use the bots now for free in WhatsApp
Yes, you can use the big bots directly in WhatsApp! Open the chat, prompt, done. Ideal for on the go, quick notes, image ideas, and small research tasks.
These are the most important AI bot numbers for WhatsApp—just click on the links and add them to WhatsApp:
ChatGPT: +1 800 242 8478
Perplexity: +1 833 436 3285
Meta AI: +1 313 555 0002
Microsoft Copilot: +1 877 224 1042
There are no additional costs, a WhatsApp account is all you need.
P.S. Of course, we wanted to create a WhatsApp group with all the bots right away, a Council of Experts, so to speak. Unfortunately, this is not possible at the moment. But at least we can create images.

🔥 Meta Ray-Ban Display Glasses: This is the AI upgrade we've been waiting for
As nerds from the very beginning, we celebrate the new Meta Ray-Ban updates from Meta Connect (and find the live demo issues quite authentic). The highlight: Finally, with the Meta Ray-Ban Display, there are glasses with a built-in display for smart overlays.
What's new?
Display directly in your glasses: Information, navigation, WhatsApp, Insta Reels, and even live translations now flutter right before your eyes as an overlay.
Neural Band on the wrist: Controls the glasses with a snap of the fingers. This allows you to text and prompt discreetly, without using your voice or touch.
WhatsApp integration on fire: Of course, Meta AI is integrated. But with our hack from above, you can also easily connect ChatGPT & Co.
Upgrade for photos & videos: Photos and videos are now in 3K resolution, and thanks to Frame Finder, you can see the perfect image directly on the integrated display before you even press the shutter button.
By the way, you can't just buy the glasses off the shelf. No, you need an appointment to get the perfect fit for the wristband! As of now, they are only available in the US, but will also be available in Canada, the UK, France, and Italy from 2026.
You made it to the end—thanks for reading! We’ll be back soon with even more updates.
