PLUS: Images & graphics in brand colors with AI

Hello AInauts,

Welcome to today's excursion into the world of artificial intelligence. We got completely lost in a tool this week, more on that below.

That's what we've got in store for you today:

  • 🦾 How to build AI employees & teams in minutes

  • 💻 This AI operates the computer like a human

  • 👆 Quick tip: AI images & graphics in brand colors

Let's go!

🦾 How to build AI employees & teams in minutes

We're crazy about a tool right now.

It's not actually a new tool, but we've only now had the time to delve dig deeper into it.

Creating content such as texts and images with AI is cool and all that ... but we all want more: AI should do real tasks, preferably without our intervention.

With automation tools such as Zapier & Make, you can already do incredible things, and we’ve been using that for the past decade (and are still loving it).

The next evolution is AI agents, which have been hyped for some time now (we've written about them dozens of times). But until now, AI agent systems were not that easy to set up and required a lot of technical know-how.

And this is where our new tool session comes into play: Lindy AI

Lindy makes it incredibly easy to build really useful little AI agents without the need of technical understanding.

Here, for example, we have built a personal assistant that helps you coordinate appointments. You act as you would with a real assistant and simply copy them into emails, with the request to setup a meeting.

In this example, I set up an appointment with myself and simply CC: my Lindy's e-mail.

Less than a minute later, Lindy replies with three suggestions for Thursday that are available in my calendar.

The invited Fabian confirms a time for Lindy. Lindy replies nicely and then sends out the invitations to all participants, with Google Meet links and so on.

Even if participants have to reschedule the appointment, that's no problem. Just write to Lindy and that's it.

Cool, right? Yes, of course, there's Calendly or Cal.com, but this is a much more personal way. The exciting thing is that you can train Lindy. In other words, you define when you prefer to meet, who is particularly important, etc.

And this is what the whole flow looks like in the tool:

It is really very easy to set up. The only thing that was necessary here was a connection with Google Calendar.

You can then also define triggers and actions, similar to Zapier & Co.

The exciting thing is that you simply describe to the AI in the form of prompts what is important to you and how it should behave. Just like with real employees! You don't have to think everything through down to the last detail, you can let the AI decide.

It's best to try out some of the provided templates. There are already a lot here, and you can customize them super easily and quickly!

Here is a Lindy Research Assistant, built in 30 seconds:

The next step is then to combine your Lindys into a team so that they coordinate and get things done together.

This is where we are diving in and loving it. We are certain that we’ll be writing about Lindy again!

💻 This AI operates the computer like a human

Today's topic was actually going to be your personal HeyGen avatars that can hold Zoom meetings, instead of you.

But let's save that for later, because the latest Claude update just fits perfectly the topic we’ve covered above.

Anthropic (the makers of Claude) have released new updates to some models. The most exciting thing, however, was a feature they call "Computer Use".

Computer Use lets AI operate a computer the way humans do!

  • Recognize what is happening on the screen

  • Moving and clicking the mouse

  • Write text

Just like we humans do. It's a continuation of the agents from above, so to speak. And you don't have to give access to any tools via API etc., just access to your computer. It then acts like a person.

Over a year ago, we wrote about adept.ai, who also wanted to tackle the issue. However, since they were largely swallowed up by Amazon, you don't hear so much about their endeavors anymore.

Just take a quick look at this two-minute video to see how cool Computer Use is can be:

Crazy, isn't it?

Of course, the whole thing is in beta and still somewhat error-prone. BUT: Anthropic is now making this new Computer Use feature available to developers via API.

We are extremely excited to see what will be built with this in the coming months, and will of course stay tuned and keep you up to date.

The easiest way to try it out for yourself is shown here in the video - 5 minutes, and you're "ready to go"! Alternatively, you can also use it via a Replit template.

P.S.: Fun fact, Claude took a time out while recording the demos and looked at pictures of Yellowstone National Park 😁...

👆 Quick tip: AI images & graphics in brand colors

Last but not least, we have a quick tip for you, because we often get questions about this topic.

Image AIs usually don't stick to color specifications very well. For many, however, it is very important that the palette is correct due to branding aspects or a certain style of the visual communication.

If you need specific colors and work a lot with graphics and text, then you should use the latest version of Ideogram, which allows you to set and define your individual color palette.

We didn't select 100% of our colors, but rather the Magic style. As you can see, the AI adheres to it very well for most of the images.

The whole thing is super practical if brand colors are important to you. Unfortunately, it is currently only available in the paid version, but this starts from just $7 per month. Ideogram is definitely the right choice for anyone who works a lot with text or graphics and needs colors to match specific guidelines. Along with FLUX, Ideogram is one of our favorite tools.

We made it! But no need to be sad. The AInauts will be back soon, with new food for thought.
