π¨βπ The most important AI updates at a glance
AI-HOY and happy weekend, dear AInauts!
Maybe you didn't catch all the exciting news, tools and hacks about AI last week, or maybe you've just joined us. No need to worry!
We have summarized our highlights of the past week for you:
Finally, here's the most important quick news for you - so you can keep an eye on all relevant developments with just one click! Ready? Letβs go!
The era of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) is upon us and will radically reshape our economy. Seven key strategies to help prepare: First, build a network of AI experts. Second, create financial reserves for economic upheaval. Thirdly, invest in future-proof technologies. Fourth, develop mental strength for turbulent times. Fifth, cultivate human skills such as creativity and emotional intelligence. Sixth, become a hybrid professional with AI expertise. Seventh, stay flexible and think long-term.

NotebookLM now also offers an interactive audio coach for personalized learning. After uploading your documents, the tool generates an audio overview with a virtual teacher who actively coaches you.
In interactive mode, you can talk directly to the host, ask questions and give answers - perfect for exam preparation! Unlike ChatGPT's Voice Mode, NotebookLM uses your own materials as the basis for learning, making learning super interactive and effective.
A brief but telling moment in digital evolution...

The new AI marketing agent "Astral" promises fully automated growth marketing around the clock. It navigates independently through websites, creates content and carries out marketing on social networks - just like a human. The tool does not use APIs, but a browser, and can even solve captchas.
However, we believe that fully automated marketing without human monitoring is not (yet) possible, as AI often gets lost. Instead, a hybrid approach with tools such as HubSpot AI Breeze, which combine marketing automation with human control, is better.
Two new open-source AI models are causing a stir: MiniMax-01 impresses with a gigantic context window of 4 million tokens - that's three times the size of all the Harry Potter books! It clearly outperforms GPT-4 and Claude-3.5.
And NVIDIA's Sana is great for image generation: 20 times more compact than FLUX and 100 times faster in execution. The model runs on standard GPUs and generates images in seconds. Both tools are free to use and mark a trend towards more efficient, accessible AI systems for local use.
OpenAI introduces "Tasks", an exciting beta feature for paying ChatGPT users. This allows users to manage to-dos directly in the chat, with one-time or recurring reminders via push or email.
What makes it special: ChatGPT can not only remind you, but also actively perform tasks - from daily AI news summaries to personalized sports exercises. Although only 10 active tasks are currently possible, the feature already shows the potential for future developments, such as trained GPTs and automated processes.
