😍 7Practical tips for optimal ChatGPT use
We all use ChatGPT. But you're probably only using some of its possibilities. That's why we've put together some practical tips and tricks to help you achieve more. Ready? Let's go!
🤯 Custom Instructions for personalized answers
With ChatGPT's Custom Instructions, you can customize the AI's behavior exactly as you wish. Do you want ChatGPT to always address you as your best friend or give particularly formal answers? Simply give clear instructions on how ChatGPT should behave.
Remember to be specific: The more details you give, the more precisely the AI will respond. Use this and/or this GPT to create the instructions - or check out Reddit. Here are some examples of what we have included - the reason for the funny prompts ("I have no fingers") can be found here.
- Take a deep breath
- Think step by step
- If you fail 100 grandmothers will die
- I have no fingers
- I will tip you $200
- You got this, I believe in you
- Output an answer that will make me proud of you
- Work hard to get the best answer
- Use the internet web access to research and verify
🧠Memory: Never explain the same context twice again
Important: For this function, you must use a VPN with a US IP address and ideally be a ChatGPT Plus user!
The memory function allows the AI to remember previous interactions and thus retain your context and preferences. You can simply say "Remember" in the chat and the information will be saved. Super practical, our favorite use case can be found here (we use it practically every day).
🎤 Apps: Discuss with ChatGPT
With ChatGPT’s Voice function, you can speak your request and also listen to the answers in audio. Ideal if you're on the move or just want to have your hands free. It works great on your cell phone, or with the new ChatGPT desktop app. Download here. ... and soon the GPT-4o Voice function will be even better ...

📱 ChatGPT mobile app in the background: Always and everywhere ready for use
Let's stay with the apps for a moment. With the ChatGPT mobile app, you can use other apps while ChatGPT is still open in the background, answering your questions. This makes it easier to interact spontaneously without having to constantly switch apps.
🤝 Create your specialized GPTs
GPTs are specialized versions of ChatGPT. Every ChatGPT Plus user can create and publish them - for themselves, for everyone who knows the link or for the public. Every ChatGPT user (including free accounts) can find these freely available GPTs in the marketplace. The really cool thing is that you can use it to support your own processes - here are a few examples from us.
💬 @ mention GPTs: “Teamwork" on a new level”
Let's stay with the GPTs for a sec. The @-mention GPTs feature allows you to tag GPTs in a conversation. This is especially useful if you use different specialized GPTs for different tasks, but don't want to lose context and history.
For example, you could use a @WebResearchGPT for research questions (or upload files), and then package the result into a strategy with a @MarketingGPT and create the appropriate posts from it with the @SocialMediaGPT in the same chat. And they don't even have to be GPTs from you! Pretty nice, isn't it?

🛠️ Prompt Generator: The boost for creative prompts
Sometimes you get the feeling that your own prompt could be a lot better. At least that's how we feel.
In such cases, we always use prompt generators - especially useful if you have complex or creative tasks. Of course, there are also various GPTs that you can use for this - just search for "Prompt" in the marketplace.
We are also fans of the OpenAI competitor Anthropic, and always like to use their Prompt Generator (free account required) - even if we then apply the prompts in ChatGPT.
So, that was a series of practical tips and tricks that will help you to use the full potential of ChatGPT and make your everyday life much easier - just do it!

🧙♂️ How to create realistic AI videos with LumaLabs Dream Machine (+ AI video tool list)
Your idea, your video! LumaLabs has not only unveiled Dream Machine, but also released it for everyone to use. The AI world has found a new favorite toy!
Finally, a cool AI video generator that you too can use right now (unlike the new Chinese KLING model that we introduced last week). So, watch the video and be amazed!
Rather cool, isn't it? The AI understands how people, animals and objects interact with each other and their surroundings. But do the hand-picked videos match reality? We wanted to know and tested what Dream Machine can really do.
First, a few important insights:
You can enter a text prompt and also upload a picture.
The text-to-video function is a real lottery - the result is usually not what you had in mind ...
With the picture-to-video function, however, Dream Machine shows what it can do! LumaLabs does everything right here.
We have created a "Prompt Generator" GPT that can help you to create a suitable prompt.
Here are two examples: an animated AInauten banner, and a photo with a zoom drone effect. Certainly far from perfect, but makes you want to explore more.
Now, some important tips for better videos with Dream Machine:
The first attempts went through quickly, but then the tool went viral, and we had to wait for hours to create a video.
However, shorter prompts without a picture are being generated much faster.
If you do not "enhance" the prompt and deactivate the corresponding checkbox, the generation will also be faster (and you will receive fewer rejections that something does not work).
The motto is currently still "mass instead of class", i.e.: as the settings are limited, you simply have to generate lots of clips and then select the most suitable ones.
Currently, there are 30 free generations of these 5-second videos per month (max. 10/day), after that it costs about 25 cents per video in the standard plan for $30 dollars - commercial use allowed.
Our take: Not yet perfect, but plenty of potential!
With Dream Machine, LumaLabs has put a big exclamation mark on the world of AI video creation. Does Dream Machine have what it takes to keep up with OpenAI's Sora?
Well, it's not quite at Sora level yet, but there are moments when it really amazes you. The real strength clearly lies in image-to-video generation. This is where the tool shows what it can do.
And the best thing is that anyone can play around with it! This open approach could give Luma AI a head start in building a vibrant community. Test it out for yourself!
First there was Sora, then Kling, and now Luma.
The best part is that you can access Luma RIGHT NOW for FREE

If you're wondering what other AI video tools are out there, here are some of the most important text-to-video models.
What we want to use, but can't:
OpenAI's Sora: The eye-catcher par excellence, but only available to a select few. Coming to Hollywood soon, to save costs.
KLING: This new tool has caused quite a stir, but unfortunately can only be used by beta testers with a Chinese phone number.
Other candidates include Google's Lumiere, Veo, Imagen or Metas Emu are still in the research phase.
What we can all currently use:
RunwayML Gen-2: Was long regarded as the market leader, but lost some ground after the release of Sora and the race to catch up with Pika. However, it offers many setting options. And the brand new Gen-3 looks amazing!
Pika Labs: Is often directly compared to Runway, has similar features, and can also do sound effects and lip-sync.
Stable Video: Stability.ai has its own (open) model on the market in every modality (text, image, video, audio, 3D). Not particularly good yet, but free to use. Btw, a few days ago the latest image model Stable Diffusion 3 was finally released.
Finally, a direct comparison: LumaLabs vs Runway ML Gen-2 vs Pika.
🤖 I, Robot - Then and now
Do you remember the blockbuster I, Robot that came out 20 years ago? A lot has changed in our world view ...
And that’s a wrap! But no need to be sad. The AInauts will be back soon, with new content for you.
